There is no more personal statement than one's choice of furniture. At A.R. Foss, we want you to realize your dreams. Our furniture is constructed to last indefinitely. "Heirloom quality" best describes the classic woodworking assembly techniques we utilize.
Below is a child's chair, from a set of two chairs and a table, for a family in Maryland. The pieces were constructed from solid maple, stained, and then finished in a multi-coat, hand rubbed satin lacquer. The chair is just under 30 inches high. The joinery is completely done with "biscuits", ensuring strength and no visible fasteners.

The table below (two images) is a free-form design using the highest quality soft curly maple. The legs are hand shaped, joinery is dowel, the miters were assembled with biscuits. The custom shaped edge of the table top is complimented by a faux granite composite insert. The composite gives the touch and feel of stone, without the weight. The table is finished in hand rubbed tung oil, creating a lasting beauty and enhancing the incredible grain of the maple. This table stands approximately 30" high and is one of our own designs.
